 Solar Power for Homes: Things to Consider

Do you think that using solar power for home is a great idea? Well, only you can answer that question. Before you embark on any project, you must have enough knowledge about it. Make sure that you do your homework first and learn everything you can about solar power. The world is suffering greatly from global warming and one of the primary causes is the use of fossil fuels to create electricity. Electricity is a necessity and because of this fact, people can’t do away with it. There is a need to look for alternative energy sources and an exceptionally good one is the use of solar power.

Before you make a decision and use solar power for your home, here are the important considerations that you should look into:

 1. Where do you live? What is the weather in your area? Is it always sunny in your area or is it always raining? Are there tall trees near your house? You must answer these questions first before you start with any project to create solar power for your home. If the weather is frequently sunny, then it might be a good idea to use solar power. For those with lots of trees in their yard, you need to get rid of them, but this is not a very easy thing to do since trees are also very important. Local authorities might not permit you to cut down huge, tall trees. Study the weather in your area as well as your location. To use solar power, you will need the rays of the sun. Rain, clouds, and trees can block the sun’s rays and so you might end up wasting money.

2.  Where do you plan to install the solar panels? You must determine the place where there is lots of sunlight all throughout the day. You can’t install the solar panels in an area where there is very little sunlight. Study your home’s surroundings. Find the perfect place where the panels can get a lot of sunlight so that you can benefit from it greatly.

3. Do you have enough knowledge on how to connect solar power into the electricity grid of your home? You can also conduct research about it. The solar power DIY projects usually provide a complete guide on how to install solar power to your homes. Just follow the instructions carefully to avoid committing mistakes. If you’re not that sure, you should always ask an electrician to help you with the task.

 Solar power can reduce your monthly electric bills by more or less 80% depending on your solar power project. In no time at all, your home can become self-sufficient, and you will no longer depend largely on conventional energy sources.

 Aside from that, the carbon emissions are also reduced thereby saving the environment from further damage. With a solar-powered home, you can enjoy an endless electric supply that is clean, green, and fresh.

 Get solar power installed now, if you think that solar power is best for your home. Go through the three considerations mentioned above so that you can make an informed decision. This is the time to save money and help the environment, act now.

I can't believe it's already the latter half of March!

Today is 3/19/2021 

 It's been a wild ride since my last blog. So, let's start with the major event, " The Powur Scale-up", that took place on Feb. 19th-21st. 

This event was packed full of announcements, education and was an all around an amazing event, featuring Enphase, Solar Edge, and a few other fantastic companies. Powur announced it's 20 year vision & plan that included there plan to move into the EV market. The best part for me is when Founder, Jonathan Budd made the shout out to Elon Must, stating, "Watch out Elon, we are coming." 

One of the key moments that caught my attention was when, Founder of Enphase, Raghu Belur spoke about their amazing Battery + Storage technology and their unique microinverters that are changing the game in huge ways.

U.S. Solar industry comes 'roaring back,' breaks multiple records in 2020. 

The U.S. Solar Market insight 2020 Year-in-Review report, released by Solar eNERGY iNDUSTRIES Association (SEIA) and Wood Mackenzie, found that the industry installed a record 19.2 GW of capacity last year. Some may wonder who in the world is Dave's Energy. So today, I'm here to tell you who I am and my company, "Dave's Energy Solutions, D.E.S.." 

I started out my career in the energy space, September 26th, 2016. At this time, I didn't know much about energy, solar, power, or any of it. I was not great on the computer and had no idea what really being an entrepreneur meant. I just knew a few basic things. I didn't have to plug in my lights in the garden area because they were solar. I had a solar panel that would help keep my quad's battery charged and I didn't have to plug that in either. The sun hit the panel and the battery was charging. Awesome right? I started thinking, what else could we use solar on, and noticed there were tons of different solar products out there. Dreams of building solar Cities, and how cheap energy would be. 

Then one day, just after moving to Washington, I was scanning the net and saw a video about this company called Powur, PBC. They were talking about how we could do good for our planet, and how Jonathan Budd, the Founder had this wild vision of empowering the world with solar energy and removing CO2 from our planet while helping homeowners save money by switching to solar energy. 

I got super excited and knew I had to get involved! 

Then the reality set in. I was broke and they were asking for $499, to sign up. I thought, how am I gonna do that. I'm broke and disabled. I was really in a state of depression and something was telling me that this was something that would give me the purpose I was looking for and get out of that negative state of mind. I was so pumped up and excited by the feeling these leaders gave me in my heart.

So I pulled almost all of the money together to get signed up in a day. But, didn't reach my goal of the whole amount. Now, I don't know what it was about me exactly, but the guy I spoke to helped me with the last little bit. I was blown away. Why would this guy do that? I thought to myself. But was extremely grateful and wanted to make sure I gave it my all. 

Along the way, I have learned so so much! I've learned about solar, technology, energy, power, and a variety of products. I've learned and am still learning constantly about products and service, new tech, and I owe every bit of that to Powur. Who Is This Amazing Company?

 Who is Powur Energy and What are they doing? 

Today is February 26, 2021

 On February 19th, Powur held a first-of-its-kind Virtual event, called, "Scale-up." This was a life-changing event for many, including fellow consultant Steven Morris who came from Georgia to Oregon to join me for the event. 

I've been involved with Powur since Sept. 2016 when it was just starting out. They were essentially a referral platform at the time and were partnered with Solar City. Shortly after, I saw the first change and innovation as Powur changed over from a, well not so profitable looking platform to something more promising and with higher earning potential. Then they scaled up again in 2017, then again, and again... and well, you get my point. lol. They are consistently scaling up and coming up with new ideas. 

Powur's growth has been amazing. Even during the pandemic. In 2020 Powur became #938 on the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing private companies. In today's news on Yahoo Finance news broke again about the event this last weekend titled, "Powur and Enphase Energy Jointly Launch Solar-plus-Storage at Scale-Up Event." 

I'll tell you what... I've never been more inspired to get the ball moving forward in my life! Powur has all the right ingredients for me to grow and with fantastic commissions and opportunities. It even comes with opportunities to earn Stock options. Who else in the industry can say that? If they are out there, I've never heard of them.
